General Letter to Tenants/ Occupants from Attwood Homes.
Good day,
In the wake of the chaos that is our world at the moment we felt it was important to reach out.
Jason and the group feel very blessed to have the tenants that we do and we encourage you to be safe and healthy during these absolutely crazy times.
There have been many announcements in the news that continue to be released daily regarding the increasing need to practice social distancing. This has created an immediate economic impact to everyone with supply chain shortages, temporary business closures, resulting layoffs and job losses being triggered in masses. These are ever changing uncertain times for everyone that can cause fears. We struggle to keep up with the announcements everyday but, it does seem that the government is implementing policies as quickly as possible regarding financial assistance to those that are impacted by this virus. The details are still unclear in many cases but we are all struggling to work through this together.
As it relates to your living spaces, we need to share the below important advisements.
1) Even with COVID19 concerns, please continue to advise of any issues or repairs that are needed. We want to stay on top of this and will address them as efficiently as possible while minimizing personal contact for the time being, as a preventative measure. Non-emergency repairs may be delayed. Tenant safety is important to us and this decision has been made with this in mind. Emergency repairs will be actioned immediately. We are only a phone call, email, or text message away.

2) Disruptions in employment status have created fears and risks for everyone as it relates to our ability to pay our rent, mortgage, and everyday expenses. We share these same concerns with you. There have been many announcements in the news about mortgage payment deferrals, etc. Unfortunately, this benefit does not necessarily apply to small landlords with uninsured mortgages. Our mortgages do not qualify and so all property expenses at this time are in full force and do require full payment. We are sharing this with you for you to understand that we are in this struggle with you in order to maintain your home and ours. If you run into issues where job lay-off or such could affect your ability to pay rent in full, please contact Jason or Attwood Homes to discuss a plan.
3) Grocery and staple shortages we think are slowly starting to stabilize. That said if you do need help in terms of locating items of need, please do not hesitate to reach out and we can try to help out in finding these things for you. Let’s keep together as a supportive community.
We know this is a difficult time and we want to let you know that we are working to get through all of this together as a community.
Thank you for your understanding.
Wishing you good health,
Jason and the Attwood Homes team
